Real People: An Interview with Sheryne Cadicamo, Director, Client Partnership

James Young, Founder & Creative Chairman

What’s one interesting thing that people should know about where you live?

One of the coolest things about living here is being in the heart of the Pacific Northwest Tech Hub. It’s home to some major players like Microsoft, Amazon, and others—really big names driving incredible innovation. There’s something exciting about being in a place where cutting-edge companies and groundbreaking ideas come together.

That plus the beauty of the Northwest. We have water, incredible forests, and gigantic volcanoes that pop out of the landscape when you’re driving down the freeway. It’s awe-inspiring and blows my mind when Mount Rainier pops into view while running errands.

What would you say is your superpower?

Connecting the dots. Connecting the dots between potential work and people and opportunities. I try to always take a consultative approach, having an ear out for what the client is saying–and maybe what they’re saying behind what they’re saying.

That means being proactive, too, following up and getting more curious about what’s on their plate and how to help them achieve their goals.

What is one thing that all of your colleagues and clients don’t know about you?

Oh my gosh, this is a funny one: I was a hip-hop dancer in my early 20’s! I danced both in college and for a women’s health-focused dance troupe post-college. My claim to fame there is that we performed at a Mariners game once. If you’d ask me, “What is one thing that you used to do creatively that you haven’t done in a while and wish you could do?” I would say that I wish I could find time to dance!

People also don’t know that I was a professional photographer; I had my own photography business for years when I lived abroad in Puerto Rico and in Germany!

What is one thing you love about your job?

Driving towards and achieving goals with my teammates in deep collaboration.

I also really enjoy building relationships–both internally within our team and then externally with our clients.

What is one thing that I should have asked you that I didn’t?

Maybe… what’s the hardest thing about my job? I would say, right now, it’s trying to be both agile and follow processes simultaneously.

Thank you, Sheryne, for getting real with us and for connecting the dots on our team!

It's not just a collaboration, it's an invitation
